The heart tub definitely needs a good cleaning. The mattress was ok but could use an upgrade. The TV could be lowered. Cabin was cute and cozy tho.
Overall it wasn't bad but the bed is seriously uncomfortable and needs replaced the xfininity didnt work and the upstairs tv wasn't a smart tv so you couldn't watch tv from the bed the hot tub is stained and looked disgusting and the drive way will about rip your bumper off your car
this property needs to fix there roads pave it or something it was so rough on my vehickle also we had to call three times to see if they would bring batteries for the tv remotes other than that i would stay again nice cabin had a great time sincerely stephen luna
I would definitely recommend this cabin. We loved everything about it! The driveway was also fixed during our stay so that was great. Would absolutely book again
The entry to the driveway needs a lot of work. I almost got stuck trying to back into the drive. Luckily I have a 4x4 and was able to put it into 4wd to get unstuck. The path to the drive is very narrow and partially washed out and needs repair. Everything else was good at the property. Anyone not having a 4x4 would probably have an issue accessing the property.
Cabin was great. Only complaints, the gas grill shown in the pictures and talked about was not there and the electric fire place didn't work. Booking, checking and out were seamless and very easy.
Only reason for the 0 staff rating is we never seen any of the staff.
The driveway to the cabin really needs some work. It was very ruff and needs to be filled in some. I would imagine in a lower vehicle that would be a bugger issue. The coffee pot was really strange. The part you pour from was on the side and it didn't really get hot. Could also use a new shower head. The water pressure was great and with a new shower head it would be a nice experience.
Great place to stay. You feel like you are out in the mountains but you aren't an hour away from town and these cabins are very close to the main strip in Pigeon Forge making the trip even better
The property and the location was absolutely gorgeous. I really enjoyed the seclusion and the amenities, but the dishwasher didn't work at all, there was no grill that we had planned on using alot and bought food for, and no means of taking hot food out of the oven. We messaged the landlord about the grill, and all they said was I'm sorry it must have been taken. If you ask me, that is not customer service and they didn't even offer to bringbus one ... possibly from another unused nearby cabin. We saw a Cabins USA work truck driving nearby too. The value was good...we did enjoy the hot tub but it was badly stained with rust. I sincerely hope that if we ever go back that all will be much better. I wish companies would actually care about what customers say and not just think..." we will always another customer" and not care about the unhappy ones.
It was a relaxing stay ... It would be great to see the mattress upgraded to something more comfortable, & the rotten egg smell from the water dealt with. Maybe in time this can be addressed. (It would deserve a higher rating then!) We bought bottled water to use to brush our teeth).
The cabin was great however there were a couple of issues. Multiple light bulbs out in the cabin. The door to the washer and dryer stuck on the floor and there was no gas grille. Also the driveway going up to the cabin was extremely rough with a big bump when you first turn in to the property.
When we arrived there was no barbecue grill, had to call twice to get one brought out to us. We walked in the door it smelled like something was dead inside the cabin. We used air freshener our entire stay. Other than all that we enjoyed it.
This property was AMAZING! I loved everything about it, everything it had inside and outside. The heart shaped hot tub was a little smaller than we expected, but it was still fun.
We loved the cabin, however, wished it had a working fireplace, or at least a gas one that put out actual heat and more of the look of a fire. The bottom panel on the stove/oven kept falling off every time you got near it. Three out of four of the living room fan lights had bulbs out. Kitchen sink light fixture above window didn't work.
First off, the cabin is perfect for a true getaway when the goal is to be alone and relax. We loved the location and the privacy! It was also decorated super cute! However, there were a few things I'd like to note that they should check on with this property:
1. When we arrived, we noticed the fireplace was broken. It was super chilly inside the cabin and we didn't want to run the heat yet. I called customer service and they said that they would send someone out to fix it. They never did. We were unable to use it the entire trip. Super disappointed in the lack of customer service.
2. The water. The smell was horrid (rotten eggs). It was so hard to get used to. I even bought water in jugs so I could wash my hair and brush my teeth.
3. The oven is ancient. We could barely cook on it/in it.
4. The TV is too high! We wanted to enjoy a night in watching movies, but that was short lived. Our necks hurt so bad! The TV needs to be moved down!
5. The bed is uncomfortable. Also, the bedding (comforter) smelled/looked like it hasn't been washed. The sheets were fresh, but the bedding and bed skirt were gross. We removed them and used our own blankets.
Outside of those issues, we enjoyed our stay and would return if those things could be addressed!
The cabin was an overall decent value. The mattress could use replacing. The fireplace didn't light (but could have called maintenance on this). The well water had a pungent sulfur smell. The overall cleanliness was good; the only thing we noticed was a dusty ceiling fan, granted it was pretty high up. Some good points to the cabin - It was relatively close to Pigeon Forge and all the touristy stuff. The loft bedroom was a very cool feature. Wifi worked well. We enjoyed the hot tub and the beautiful view; very peaceful.
This was the cutest cabin!! We could tell the owners took pride in decorating it.
I only have two suggestions: 1) the bed needs a new mattress and 2) the TV is way to high. We are movie watchers and we had neck cramps from look up so high. Please think about moving the TV. :)
Had a great stay! Like earlier reviews only thing that we could complain about was the water smell but not much you can do about it and we got used it. We liked how it was tucked away, for the most part it felt like we were out away from people even though there are a few cabins around. Overall a great little cabin and stay!
We had an amazing experience and loved our cozy cabin, Bare Tubbin! We have no complaints however we were not able to get the WiFi to work with the username and password provided. The cabin was very clean and in a great location! We will certainly go again!
The cabin location was wonderful. Love how it sat back in the mountains. The seclusion was wonderful even though there was a cabin in front. We felt like no one was around. The only negatives are the TV is way to high. You literally have to look up at the ceiling to see it. The other is the water smell. Our hair and toothbrush smelled like to all day. Overall it was a wonderful weekend though.
This cabin would have gotten 10 out of 10 except for the fact that as nice as the cabin was..........the mattress was a nightmare. I can't understand who would invest in such a cute comfy cozy and nice cabin and use some cheap slab of a mattress. We thought we were sleeping on the box spring. Hard time sleeping and woke up feeling sore. I really really love the cabin and the fireplace, everything was nice....... if only I could have slept and rested well. (Considered sleeping on sofa, much more comfy) Overall a beautiful enjoyable cabin, hope the owners invest in maybe a $300 mattress from Sams club or somewhere.
The only problem with this cabin is it is located in an area that has sulfur water. There is nothing that the owners or CabinsUSA can do about that . The cabin itself was the perfect size , private , cozy , and clean (except for a towel hanging on the rack behind the bathroom door , but that could have been just an oversite) . Everything was great for a weekend getaway.
My only 2 complaints are that the TV is mounted very high above the fireplace to where you literally have to look up (which caused me a stiff neck!!) or lie down on the couch to watch. Also the water is very stinky!! Otherwise the cabin was comfortable.
We loved the cabin and it was prettier than the pictures but there are 2 things I have to complain about, one was the bed. It was very uncomfortable and swagged in the middle really bad. I didn't want to complain at all but our backs have been hurting so bad since the first night and still are. Also the hot water ran out before the Jacuzzi could fill up above the jets. I would choose cabins usa again for our vacation but I would insist on a good mattress and larger water heater.
When we first arrived our cabin had some used towels in the bathroom floor and trash in the trash can. We called and could not get anyone to contact us back but after a drive back out to the office they sent someone out promptly to clean our cabin. I do believe it was cleaned prior to our arrival but it seems as though someone had been back in the cabin maybe to shower. They were very nice and helpful after we spoke with someone. This was our third stay with Cabins USA and we will stay again.
This is the 2nd time booking through cabins usa. They are a great company! The cabin was a short drive off of wears valley road. Very close to a gas station, Kroger, and other places in town. About a 5 minute drive to the main strip of pigeon forge. The road to the cabin was smooth, and not bad at all. A small car could easily make it in/ out of the driveway. The cabin shares a drive with another cabin, but you are in the back and we never had any issues. It still felt very private! Cabin was decently cleaned, but looked rushed, which is understandable if a short time between visitors was given. There is a rotten egg smell in the water, but it isn't horrible. I would bring bottled water to drink though. Hot tub works great, Jacuzzi tub takes quite a while to fill up, but it is relaxing. Loved coming back to the cabin in the evenings and watching tv with the fireplace going. A cute cabin for 2 people. Great for couples! We really enjoyed our stay and will be back!

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, Stephanie! We are delighted to have you as a returning guest! We wanted to let you know that the water issues have been resolved. The owner put a water filter system on the cabin. We hope that you will book another stay with us again soon!
Very comfortable and cozy cabin! No serious issues except the rotten egg smell when you use the water and needs a little dusting several Cobb Webbs. Other than that great place to stay!
The cabin is beautiful- decorated nicely, etc. I would definitely say it was cleaned before we came but I do believe it’s about time to get some of the cob webs that are up in the loft and viewable as you lay in bed or are in the jacuzzi. The kitchen stove could use updating but it worked okay for what we needed. The only true concern that disappointed our trip is something that apparently is very common in the Smokey mountains. This is our first cabin rental that is on a well so the high iron content in the water which in turn created a sulfur (or rotten egg) smell every time hot water is run was very unsettling considering the amount of money spent. I realize it is not solely an issue for this cabin but wished that someone would have mentioned it in a review before so I would have known before my husband and I drove 9 hours for our anniversary getaway and dreaded every shower and jacuzzi time (a Main amenity for us as I have a bad back) as we endured rotten egg smell every time and it was a big turn off.
The only note I would add is that we were unable to connect to the WIFi. We tried using the code on the router to connect but that did not work. I looked through the packet to find the code but was unable to find it there as well. Not sure if this was overlooked but may need to be looked into. This was not a deal breaker for us but might be for someone after us.
Everything was great but the refrigerator did not keep food or drinks cold. The freezer worked but the frig did not. Please check into it for further guests. It did not work.
The cabin was better than i could have expected. It was so relaxing. My only complaint is the refrigerator did not work. We brought a cooler so it we really didn't mind. I called to tell them but my phone kept loosing signal. And had such a wonderful time i forgot to call when we went into town. It was amazing. We will definitely be going back next year.
There was a dorito under the bed that was not ours and something on one of the towels and the grill cover was just thrown on the floor on a porch along with a dustpan. One Of the jets on the hot tub was broken and the fridge would not freeze and barely kept anything cold. I also could not connect to Wi-Fi... I try to leave a message from maintenance when we checked in at 11:30 the whole weekend we were there no phone call back but were only there for 2 days which is wife we didn't press it but other than that the cabin was very cozy and I did very much enjoy my stay... It was my 1st time ever staying in a cabin as well as my 1st time ever going to gatlinburg so regardless I had A-blast.. But the cabin warmed up quickly the hot tub was nice and hot... You are so watch out at the bottom of the drive there is a ditch or something that will bottom out your car if your not careful. In the broken packet that I didn't see in till I was packing up to the was in one of the drawers place down so I didn't even get to see it and 12 check out so that kind of sucked
This cabin was nice however sadly the refrigerator wasn't working and after arriving we found something sticky on the table and when I went to wipe up (after my 6 yr old touched it) it took some of the stain off, I'm not sure what exactly it was but glad it didn't irritate his skin. Otherwise the cabin is in a great location easy to reach town and we had a great time. We'll probably try it out again.
Company Response:
Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your recent stay in Bare Tubbin. We here at Cabins USA work hard to make sure that each of our guests have the same great stay you enjoyed while vacationing in the Smokies. I apologize the refrigerator was not working properly during your stay. Maintenance has been notified and correct the issue. When you are ready to stay with us again, please let our reservationists know you are a return guest for an additional discount. Thank you again for your review and thank you for choosing Cabins USA!
My husband & I stayed at this cabin and really enjoyed our time there. It's off the beaten path in a beautiful wooded area. The kitchen is nicely equipped with all the utensils you need to cook if you just want to stay in and enjoy the peace & quiet of your surroundings. The gas grill like new as well as the grilling utensils, which we took advantage of the Publix grocery store in town and grilled out a couple of nights.
The only thing that you have to be careful of is in the loft the ceiling beams are extremely close to the one side of the bed.
The only real concern is the very bottom step of the outside stairs it's a big step down and the driveway is somewhat steep and is gravel it would be very easy to fall and/or twist an ankle. This could perhaps be remedied by a small cement slab or something.
All in all I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cabin and would certainly love to come back. I just think I'd be a little more cautious about checking my shoes before putting them on as we had a scorpion make an appearance on our last day that kinda freaked me out because I didn't think they lived in Eastern Tennessee , now I know better and am thankful I didn't find one in my shoes, just on the kitchen floor.
